Ola Electric has once again postponed its second online purchase window, the company announced in an email sent to potential buyers. This is the second time that the next purchase window has been delayed. It was originally scheduled to start on November 1 and was later extended to December 16, 2021. However, Ola Electric has now confirmed that the booking window will open only at the end of January 2022. Ola has confirmed the development of carandbike.

Apart from the booking window, Ola recently informed customers that the deliveries of the S1 and S1 Pro will also be delayed and will now be in the second half of December 2021.

Ola Electric had originally opened reservations in mid-September for ₹499, while customers would have to pay ₹20,000 to book the vehicle.

The deliveries were originally scheduled to start between October and November this year. With the delay in the purchase window, Ola is focusing on completing the deliveries first and is also conducting test rides in 1000 cities and towns across the country. It is also interesting to note that unlike the previous occasions, the company has not revealed the exact date of opening of the booking window this time. The delay was attributed to global chip shortages.

In its statement to customers, Ola Electric’s email read, “We are focused to cater to existing buyers as well as expand our test rides to over 1,000 cities and towns across India by 15th December , so as to ensure that those who have booked by paying Rs 499 can test-drive the revolutionary Ola S1.”
