Ola Electric has increased the price of its flagship S1 Pro electric scooter by Rs 10,000. The Ola S1 Pro is now priced at ₹ 1,20,149 (ex-showroom Delhi, after FAME-II and state subsidy).
Ola opened its latest purchase window for the S1 Pro on May 21.
Ola S1 prices remain unchanged at Rs 85,099 (ex-showroom Delhi after FAME-II and state subsidy). However, the S1 is currently unavailable and is expected to be the same for the foreseeable future.
Last month, Ola Electric sold over 12,000 electric scooters and took the top spot in the segment over Hero Electric. However, it hasn’t been easy for the company. In March this year, an Ola scooter caught fire in Pune, leading to the recall of 1,441 S1 Pro units, and the manufacturer is conducting pre-diagnosis and health checks. Recently, an incident of an Ola S1 Pro overturning unexpectedly and injuring its rider was reported.
The Ola S1 Pro competes with other electric scooters such as Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube.
