Ola Electric’s mysterious exodus continues as Varun Dubey resigns – Times of India

amid rising tensions around Ola ElectricThe company has lost yet another top-tier executive Varun Dubey, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) has stepped down. After joining the tech-mobility startup firm in 2019, Dubey left the company citing personal reasons, according to the report. However, the news came just days after Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Dinesh Radhakrishnan resigned.
Also, Arun Sirdeshmukh, CEO Hailstone Kars also resigned from his position earlier this month. The exit comes at a time when the company is trying to keep out hurdles such as production and delivery delays, quality issues, software glitches as well as the recent high-profile fire incident involving the company’s S1 Pro. electric scooterThis resulted in a mass recall of over 1,441 units.
Commenting on Ola Cars CEO exit, a company spokesperson had earlier said, “Our Group CFO Arun Kumar GR now has an expanded role in day-to-day operations. This involved overseeing the GTM ceremony and hence Arun Sirdeshmukh, who was heading the GTM, has now had to leave. Both his roles (GTM and Ola Cars) will now be under Arun Kumar GR under his expanded role.
The Ola Group has seen several exits over the past few months including its Chief Financial Officer Swayam Saurabh, Chief Operating Officer Gaurav Porwal, Head of Human Resources Rohit Munjal and General Counsel Sandeep Choudhary. Reports also surfaced suggesting the exit of Amit Aanchal, head of strategy at Ola Group, but the company denied this.
