TOI reported on Friday that there are major concerns regarding the quality of batteries being provided by EV manufacturers. So far, batteries have come as a part of the complete package of EVs, although the government has allowed the sale of two-wheelers and three-wheelers without batteries.
Sources said that since EV players are selling vehicles with batteries, which they are sourcing, they have taken responsibility and faced action for any fault or shortfall in the battery.
