Old video of ‘Deep Blue’, the biggest great white shark ever, dominates the internet

The diver can be seen touching the shark’s fore fin before it swims away

An old video of a huge great white shark circling the cage of shark expert and marine biologist Mauricio Hoyos Padilla has gone viral again on the internet. The great white shark named Deep Blue can be seen nuzzling the cage and moving around.

This video was shared by Mauricio Hoyos Padilla in 2015. Mr. Padilla was the first person Deep Blue met. Great white sharks are the apex predators of the oceans and are known for their strength and speed. On average, great white sharks reach a length of 15 feet but in some cases, they are much larger.

according to a report by newsweekDeep Blue is one such shark, it is 20 feet long and weighs more than 5,500 pounds. Deep Blue is believed to be over 50 years old.

Mr Padilla came face-to-face with Deep Blue in 2015 while filming for Discovery Channel’s Shark Week.

It can be seen in the video that the diver touches the front fin of the shark before swimming away.

Great white sharks can live up to about 70 years in the wild.
