Old video shows APJ Abdul Kalam talking about mothers and their priceless smiles

A video of former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s speech on his seventh death anniversary is going viral on social media. In the video, Dr Kalam can be heard talking about mothers and why we should always make them smile. The video has been shared by IAS officer Avneesh Sharan. Dr Kalam is appreciated for his contribution to the country’s space and science projects, while he was also instrumental in the conduct of the 1998 nuclear weapons test.

The short video is part of a speech that Dr Kalam gave to a large crowd of people. In the video, the former President can be heard saying, “At a meeting in Tirupati, I asked the children to take an oath. It is actually for the youth below the age of 20, but older people also take it.” can.”

Dr Kalam asked the people gathered in the auditorium to repeat the oath, “From today onwards I will make my mother smile everyday.” In the video, he can be heard saying, “When a mother smiles, the family smiles too.”

Dr Kalam is credited with the development of Agni and Prithvi missiles and has inspired generations with his tireless work for the welfare of the country.

Born in 1932 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu in a modest family, Dr Kalam joined the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in 1958. He was then inducted into the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in 1969, where he worked as the Project Director. For SLV-III, India’s first satellite launch vehicle.

Dr Kalam was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1990 and Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, in 1997.
