Bangladesh were bowled out for 153 in 20 overs against Oman in their second match of the T20 World Cup 2021 at the Al Amrat Cricket Ground on Tuesday, after deciding to bat first. Mohammad Naeem (64) top scored for Bangladesh and added 80 runs for the third wicket with Shakib Al Hasan (42). Bilal Khan was the best bowler for Oman with his figures of 3/18. Fayaz Butt, who played in this match, also took 3 wickets. Oman need 154 runs to win but a lot will depend on how their batsmen will chase down the target. Bangladesh are coming off low on confidence in the game as they crashed out with an unexpected defeat against Scotland in their opening match of the tournament, while Oman began their campaign with a 10-wicket win over Papua New Guinea (PNG). Had it. If Oman wins this match, they will cement their place in the Super 12 along with Scotland, who sit at the top of Group B. On the other hand it is a do or die match for Bangladesh as if they lose they cannot reach 4 points to compete with Scotland and Oman in the points table.
