Anand: One of the NRIs happiness Those who arrived in Gujarat from the United Kingdom (UK) have been found infected with the Omicron variant of Kovid-19. The middle-aged man had tested positive for coronavirus infection in an RT-PCR test conducted at the Ahmedabad International Airport on December 15, soon after his arrival from the UK.
Although the NRI was to reach Anand from Ahmedabad, he is currently admitted in the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad.
“The man’s sample was later found to be infected with the Omicron variant,” Anand District Collector Manoj Dakshini said, adding that he was taken from the airport to the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad after testing positive for Covid.
Dakshin further said that all co-travellers and other close contacts of the NRI have tested negative for the viral infection. “Around 30 others who came in contact with him have tested negative,” he said.
