LONDON: The UK has resumed mandatory pre-departure testing for all travelers entering the country and added Nigeria to its travel ban red list amid fears of the spread of the Omicron version of COVID-19.
The UK government said on Saturday (December 4) that a new analysis by the UK Health and Safety Agency (UKHSA) indicates that the window between infection and infectivity may be shorter for the Omicron variant, which is pre-departure.
