On January 08, Delhi Police had arrested a person named Omkareshwar Thakur from Indore for allegedly making Sully Deals application last year. The application contained a host of morphed images and objectionable comments targeting Muslim women. DCP KPS Malhotra, Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) said on January 09, “During the interrogation of Neeraj Bishnoi, the mastermind of the bully bye app case, we found evidence that helped us in arresting Omkareshwar Thakur, who committed suicide. Wrote the code for the Deals app.” “The bully bye accused Neeraj Bishnoi was in touch with the Sulli deal app creator,” Malhotra said. However, Omkareshwar’s father Akhilesh Thakur said, “2 officers took Omkareshwar along with his laptop and phone. Later he called me and told that he was being taken to Delhi. He is a web designer by profession and is being falsely accused. I will meet the officials in Delhi.” Further investigation is being done.
