Lucknow: On the completion of one year of the National Mass Vaccination Campaign on 16 January, Uttar Pradesh Achieved another milestone by becoming the first state in the country to complete the administration of 23 crore vaccine shots.
As of Sunday, UP tops the chart with a total of 23,04,43,754 vaccine doses, followed by Maharashtra With 14.31 crore doses. In percentage terms, about 60 per cent of the adult population has been fully vaccinated and 93 per cent of the beneficiaries have received a single dose.

More than 5,137,027 adolescents in the age group of 15-18 years have been administered the vaccine since it came into effect on January 3.
Since the launch of the campaign on January 10, more than 4.05 lakh ‘precautionary doses’ have been given to healthcare workers, frontline workers and people above 60 years of age.
Chief Minister to expedite vaccination of adolescents Yogi Adityanath has asked the concerned officials to ensure adequate availability of vaccine doses.
More than 95 percent of the adult population has received the first dose of the vaccine in 30 districts, while six districts – Lucknow, gautam budh nagarShahjahanpur, GhaziabadMainpuri and Etawah – have achieved 100% first dose coverage.
17,185 test positive in 24 hours
Out of over 2.57 lakh samples tested, at least 17,185 people tested positive for coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours. In the same period, 8,802 people have recovered from the infection.
At present, there are 1,03,474 active cases in the state, of which about 98 per cent patients are in home isolation. Less than 1 percent of the patients are in the hospital.
