SALIGAO: Anjuna police on Friday arrested Mubeen Khan for allegedly stealing a camera and mobile phone from the storage compartment of a scooter in Vagator.
Police said Arjun Goel, a tourist from Delhi, had complained on December 29 that an unidentified person had stolen a camera worth Rs 40,000, two memory cards, a power bank and a phone worth Rs 25,000 from the storage. The compartment of his scooter which was parked in a parking lot at Vagator.
When the police got information that a person had put up a camera for sale online, a thug customer was arranged and called Arpora to hand over the camera to the accused. He was caught there and most of the stolen goods were recovered from him.
Khan has been arrested under the provisions of the IPC.
