Electric vehicle brand One Moto has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government to set up a manufacturing unit. The new facility will be located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, and the brand has announced an investment of up to ₹250 crore to set up the new manufacturing facility. The new manufacturing plant will feature major automation integration with additional semi-robotics and the latest manufacturing machinery to produce state-of-the-art products, the company announced in a statement. The new plant will be spread over an area of 15 acres on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana.

The One Moto Electra has a claimed top speed of 100 kmph with a range of 150 km.
“With the new manufacturing plant, we aim to serve our customers not only in India, but also to export vehicles to other global markets that One Moto is developing. Not only in the state of Telangana, but also creating employment in the manufacturing facility. There is tremendous opportunity to do this, but also in rural areas. We will also set up skill development programs with the state as EV after sales service requires a specialized skill. We look forward to working with the state government which The plant will create around 500 direct and 2000 indirect jobs in the state, said Shubhankar Choudhary, CEO, One Moto India. The deliveries of the One Moto Electa electric scooter will start from February 2022.
