Oppo’s next flagship phone could be MediaTek’s most powerful chipset

Smartphone brand Oppo’s upcoming flagship smartphone – Find X5 Pro – is expected to be the first device to sport the new MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. According to GizmoChina, MediaTek will launch its Dimensity 9000 flagship SoC in the month of February-March. Previous leaks have revealed that Oppo is working on its next flagship Find X4 Pro, however, the upcoming flagship may be named Oppo Find X5 Pro as the number 4 is considered an unlucky number in China.

The phone may come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO 2.0 display that offers Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate. The rear camera setup of the device is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS support. It is paired with a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 13-megapixel tertiary camera. For selfies, the X5 Pro’s display punch-hole will house a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 camera.
