Delhi Capitals pacer Khaleel Ahmed was dealt a dangerous blow as he suffered a dangerous chest injury to Sunrisers Hyderabad wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran. The incident happened during the match between Hyderabad and Delhi played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.

The incident happened on the fourth ball of the 13th over. Good length delivery from Khaleel was hit hard by Pooran straight on the back. The Delhi pacer didn’t get much time to react and get out and as a result, the ball hit his left collarbone. The physio came in to treat Khaleel and finally the 24-year-old was looking good enough to continue. In the current edition of IPL, the left-arm pacer has picked up 14 wickets in 7 matches at an economy rate of 7.85.
Earlier, batting first, Delhi scored a mammoth score of 207/3 in 20 overs. Opener David Warner (92 not out off 58 balls) played a brilliant innings to help his team reach a defendable total.
