Noida: Sector 51 residents protest against Noida authorityThere is a plan to build a vending zone along the C block road. “There are already two banquet halls on this road. Also on this road there is a private hospital and a large convenience store. None of these buildings have their own parking space and all visitors’ vehicles are parked on this road. That’s why we are against creating vending zones here.
Kumar said the residents of the sector face a jam of about 15 to 20 minutes daily to reach their homes from the already congested road. “If the vending zone is created, the traffic problem will get worse. We have requested the CEO of Noida to reconsider this decision and shift this vending zone to some other place,” he said.
Later in the day, there were talks between representatives of RWAs and AK Jain, Senior Manager of Working Circle of Noida Authority. “A team of officials of the authority, along with members of the vending zone committee, is expected to meet us. We will discuss our concerns with them. If not addressed, we will meet the Noida CEO on the matter,” said the secretary general.
When contacted, SK Singh, junior engineer, work circle 3, said, “We will meet the RWAs along with the members of the vending zone committee and take a final decision on the matter. We have also asked RWAs to suggest alternative areas.
