About Mango Curry Recipe: How To Make Padma Lakshmi’s Mango Curry

To make this mango curry, you will need green or raw mangoes, oil, mustard seeds, red chili powder, asafoetida and salt. Begin by finely chopping the green mangoes; Be sure to cut them into small pieces. The reason mangoes are cut so small is that more surface area can more easily absorb the delicious spices. Now you have to make a tempering. For that take a small kadhai or pan and heat oil. Padma Lakshmi recommends using a neutral oil with a high smoke point. Add mustard seeds and asafoetida, when it starts crackling remove it from the heat. Pour the tempering over the chopped mangoes, sprinkle red chili powder and salt to taste and mix well.
