Pagani Utopia hypercar unveiled with 864 hp V12 engine, details are here

The Italian automaker’s list of hypercars has grown with the unveiling of the Pagani Utopia. Notably, it is the third hypercar with the nickname Utopia by Horacio Pagani. The car’s new name carries a lot of literary significance, with an old-school design and the same engine as its predecessors. The new utopia follows well-known names like Zonda and Huayra. It should be noted that the hypercar, like any other Pagani, will have a limited number of examples, and only 99 of them will be sold in the world.

The hypercar is powered by the same Mercedes-AMG Huayra as the 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine that produces 864hp and 1,100Nm of peak torque. However, unlike the Huayra, the Utopia uses a 7-speed manual transmission. However, the Italian manufacturer has offered a 7-speed single-clutch automatic transmission as an option.

Power is transferred to the wheels by the engine, controlled by Brembo carbon-ceramic disc brakes mated to 21-inch forged alloy wheels at the front and 22-inch wheels at the rear. It’s all built around a monocoque chassis made using carbon fiber and titanium body panels to keep the body weight light. The result of all this is a body weight of 1,280 kg, which is about 70 kg lighter than the Pagani Huayra.

The Pagani Utopia stands out from the crowd of hypercars with its simplicity following an aerodynamic body design. Furthermore, in the design of Pagani Utopia, there are hints of Huayra mixed with toned-down aggression. The Utopia features nose refresh and does away with the aerodynamic flaps present on the bonnet on the Huayra. The fluid design continues down the sides and ends at the rear, where the iconic Rocket-style quad exhaust and fixed bridge spoiler connecting the two rear wings are featured.
