Pakistan PM calls Imran a ‘cheater’ – Times of India

Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif On Thursday called the former PM and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan “The biggest cheater and liar” in the history of the country.
“I can swear to God that he (Imran) is a deceiver, who tells lies day and night. He had isolated the country and played with it. He has tried to create rift in important institutions of Pakistan. Gentry I said in a presser Islamabad,
Surrounded by cabinet colleagues, the Pak PM said that he wants to present the “real face” of Imran to the country. Sharif begins his presser by recounting the events surrounding the no-confidence motion Imran As PM this April.
“Let’s go back to April 3 when the then Deputy Speaker National Assembly Ex-Information Minister (Fawad Choudhary) allowed to speak before voting. He (Chowdhary) read out a statement which referred to conspiracy against the PTI government and termed it as a ‘foreign conspiracy’.
“On this the deputy speaker refused to allow voting,” Sharif recalled.
Surprisingly, Sharif said that the President of Pakistan approved the dissolution within 20 minutes.
“This was the basis of the conspiracy that Imran is playing for the last five months and wasting the nation’s time. at the bottom of HouseI said that if God forbid this conspiracy is proved against me or the coalition government, then the country has the right to hang me,” the PM said.
On the recent audio leaks purportedly showing Imran’s voice, Sharif said the recordings had revealed the truth of his predecessor.
The PM said a “cipher” – which Imran claims contains details of a foreign conspiracy to oust him from power – cannot be decoded by the government. “If this can happen, then cables from all embassies can be leaked or stolen,” he argued.
Sharif reiterated that the prime minister’s copy of the “cipher” – also known as the master copy – was missing. “Imran himself does not know where he is. But their audio leaks have proved that there were four people behind the so-called conspiracy. What more proof do you need?” Sharif asked.
Sharif promised a probe into the leak. “An investigation has already started. We will convey the findings to the nation with complete transparency.”
