Pakistan will plunge into civil war if elections are not announced: Imran Khan – Times of India

Islamabad: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has warned that the country will plunge into civil war if elections are not announced.
Dawn news quoted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as saying, “We will see if they allow us to go towards elections by legal and constitutional means otherwise this country will go towards (a) civil war.”PTI) saying in an interview as chief.
The deposed Prime Minister further said that he has no question of returning National Assembly Because it would mean “accepting the conspiracy” that toppled his government.
Khan said that he is waiting for the top court to decide on his party’s plea to provide security to the protesters, after which he said that he will issue a date for next March, Dawn news reported.
The PTI president admitted that he did not enjoy full power as prime minister, indicating that the real centers of power in the country are elsewhere and “everybody knows where he is.”
Khan said that his government was “weak” when it came to power and had to look for coalition partners, adding that if the same situation arises again, he will opt for re-election and seek a majority government. Or not at all.
“Our hands were tied. We were blackmailed from everywhere. We didn’t have power. Everyone knows where the power is in Pakistan, so we had to depend on them,” he said.
