Para Badminton World Championships: Debutants Nitya, Ramdas record easy wins; Nagar escaped from fear

Debutant Nitya Surrey didn’t hesitate to admit that she felt nervous before playing her first match in BWF Para Badminton World Championship 2022, which began in Tokyo on Monday.

“I was very excited to be here. It’s a proud moment for me. First match, I was a bit nervous in the starting points but then everything went well. The coordination between the shuttle and the racket was going well. I adjusted the shuttler’s controls as well. So, it was a good start,” said the promising star, who reached No. 1 in the world. Nitya has already set her goals to win three gold medals. “I’ll do my best to make it happen.”
