Mahindra & Mahindra has officially started the deliveries of the all-new XUV700 flagship SUV. The domestic automaker has handed over the keys of the Javelin Gold Edition XUV700 to Paralympian Sumit Antil. The athlete made India proud by winning a gold medal for India in the F64 men’s javelin throw category. The custom-built XUV700 has been designed by Pratap Bose, EVP and Chief Design Officer, Mahindra & Mahindra. They delivered their customized XUV700 in Midnight Black color sporting gold accents inside and out.

Last month, Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra had announced that the company would present the special edition Mahindra XUV700 SUV to Neeraj Chopra, Avani Lekhara and Sumit Antil for their historic victories at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics respectively.I

chrome element on the exterior of XUV700 The new Mahindra logo has been replaced by a gold insert which now has satin gold plating. Also, Sumit Antil’s record of ‘68.55’ (metres) has emerged in the form of badges on the fenders and tailgate. Apart from this, all the six headrests and the front dashboard are also embroidered. Apart from this, all the seats and IP panels on the custom-built Mahindra XUV700 have been sewn with gold thread as accents.
Paralympian Sumit Antill’s record of ‘68.55’ (metres) is embossed in the form of badges on the fenders and tailgate and embroidered on all six headrests and front dashboard.
The company had earlier announced that it would start deliveries of the petrol variant from October 30, while the deliveries of the diesel model would start in the last week of November 2021. Mahindra plans to deliver over 14,000 units of the XUV700 by January 14, 2022. The automaker has already received over 65,000 bookings for the SUV.

The XUV700 is the new flagship SUV in the domestic automaker’s line-up. The XUV700 price starts at ₹ 12.49 Lakh, going up to ₹ 22.89 Lakh (ex-showroom, India). The SUV is offered in two engine options – a 2.0-litre GDI turbo petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. Both come with the option of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter unit.
