Parents Association writes to Delhi CM to withhold board admit cards for fee arrears

The letter has also been addressed to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), the National Human Rights Commission and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The Delhi Parents’ Association (DPA) has written a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, urging them to take legal action against schools that withheld board exam admit cards for student due to fee arrears.

The letter has also been addressed to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), the National Human Rights Commission and the Central Board of Secondary Education. Education (CBSE).

The DPA also asked the students to hand over the admit cards “immediately”.

The schools are withholding the admit cards of the children appearing in the board exams citing outstanding fees. School children are being threatened of not being allowed to sit for exams, while most schools are demanding exorbitant fees.

The parents’ association alleged that several schools have ignored court orders on fees, thereby “putting the future of students at stake”.
