The Lok Sabha is likely to discuss the new Omron version of Covid along with other legislative business on Wednesday. There is likely to be a short-term discussion on the new Omron version in the Lok Sabha. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will inform the House about the new variant. The discussion on the new Omicron version will take place under Rule 193. Under this rule, members can ask for details about the new COVID version. Mandaviya told the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday that no case of Omron variant has been reported in the country so far. He also apprised the Upper House about the country’s preparedness. The government will also try to introduce ‘The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill, 2020’, which it failed to do in the first two days of the current session.
