Patna High Court issues tender to all judges to buy iPhone 13 Pro

New Delhi: The Patna High Court on Tuesday (June 21) issued a tender for all the judges to buy the iPhone 13 Pro. The court is inviting interested suppliers or authorized dealers to deposit the value, including goods and services tax and service charges, for the 256GB variant of the iPhone 13 Pro smartphone. Firms submitting quotations are asked to submit their GST number, PAN, Aadhaar, email and a registered mobile number while submitting the quotation.

“Sealed Quotations are invited from reputed firms/authorized dealers/suppliers/service providers for supply of Apple iPhone 13 Pro (256 GB) for Hon’ble Judges of this Court,” the tender notice read. (Also read: Amul MD hospitalized after road accident in Gujarat, minor injured)

The Officer-on-Special-Duty has issued notice on behalf of Patna High Court for the purchase of iPhone 13 Pro smartphone. The final decision on whether to accept or reject any or all the quotations in accordance with the notice shall be taken by the Court.

Courts will not pay in advance. Also, bids have to be submitted within a week. Additionally, after submitting the duplicate bill, the money will be transferred through the bank (CFMS method), as per the letter.

At present, the Patna High Court has a sanctioned strength of 53 judges. However, as of June 1, 2022, the total number of serving judges has gone up to 27. With the recent notification of the appointments of nine more judges to the bench, the central government is set to increase the strength to 36.

The court has also noted that the supplier has to be available for maintenance of the smartphone as and when required. It also stated in the notice that the firms or suppliers will have to immediately replace the defective material free of cost within the warranty period.
