“People Reject You In Elections, You Say You Are In Democracy”: JP Nadda’s Taunt On Rahul Gandhi

The BJP chief said, ‘Corruption had sunk in India before 2014 (before the Modi government). Scams like 2G, 3G, Commonwealth happened, but today the country (India) is among the leading countries of the world.

He said that Modi has changed the political culture of the country and weaned it from Congress’s bribery, commission, criminalization and dynastic rule.

Nadda said that Modi has done so by focusing on ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas and ab sabka prayas’.

He claimed that Modi and former Karnataka member Yeddyurappa, including most of the BJP leaders, are all allies and have achieved the position themselves.

Nadda said, “Congress is promoting dynastic politics even today. They are still behind Rahul Gandhi, whether they are hopeful or not. They continue to be presented in new ways again and again. They are still focused on promoting family politics.”

Karnataka BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, party’s board member Yediyurappa, state ministers JC Ramayanaswamy and Ashok were present at the public meeting, among others.

Earlier in the day, Nadda traveled under Tiptur and held a roadshow at Chikkanayakanahalli.

Nadda underlined that the Congress was wiped out in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, Tripura, Nagaland and Manipur. He said that after revealing the defeat in the elections, Rahul Gandhi went to England and said that there is devastation in democracy in India.

He said, “People reject you in elections and you say that democracy is there and that too in India, not in England… The one who cannot contest elections, says that there is democracy in democracy.”

Accusing Rahul Gandhi of instigating against India in the US and Europe, the BJP chief said he was posing a threat to India’s sovereignty and an insult to the people of the country.

He said, “Nayak Gandhi should seek a joke from the people of the country… The Congress and its leaders have become mentally bankrupt and should be sent home.”

Accusing the previous Siddaramaiah’s corrupt Congress government in Karnataka of being mired in corruption, Nadda said today new stories of progress and development are being told under the BJP’s rule while the state has emerged as an important destination for foreign investment. and is a leader in innovation and start-ups.

He also appealed to the people to support the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.
