‘People’s voice is God’s voice’: Navjot Sidhu congratulates AAP on Punjab’s victory

As Aam Aadmi Party (AAPSeeing the thumping victory in Punjab, state Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Twitter, “The voice of the people is the voice of God. Accept the mandate of the people of Punjab humbly.”

Meanwhile, AAP leader Raghav Chadha has said that the party will emerge as a national and natural replacement of Congress in the coming days.

Addressing party workers at the rented residence of party’s chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann in Sangrur, Chadha said, “AAP will become a national force in the days to come…the party will emerge as a national and natural replacement of Congress.” “

He said that the whole country is looking towards Arvind Kejriwal’s model of governance and the people of Punjab have swept the state with Jhadu (AAP’s election symbol).

AAP’s co-in-charge of state affairs said, “The era of traditional parties SAD and Congress in Punjab is over and now AAP will give a clean and honest government.”

He slammed political opponents for running a “negative campaign” against AAP by calling AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal a “terrorist”. However, Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and National Convener of AAP, gave a positive agenda and the result is in front of the people.

Referring to AAP’s performance, he said, “No politician can be secure about his position when a common man decides to enter politics and clean the system.”

He said, “We will give clean and honest politics to Punjab.” He said that AAP will give a progressive government to Punjab.

Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, SAD chief Parkash Singh Badal and former chief minister Aam Aadmi Party along with the Aam Aadmi Party is heading for a clean sweep in 88 of the 117 assembly seats in Punjab after the preliminary round of counting on Thursday. Amarinder Singh is among the trailing stalwarts.

There is silence at the Chandigarh residence of the current Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and the ancestral residence of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal after the defeat of their parties.
