Petrol, diesel price todayPetrol price remained unchanged across India for the tenth consecutive day on Saturday, November 13. The same was true for diesel prices, which remained unchanged for 10 consecutive days in the country. Auto fuel prices remained stable as the Center announced a cut in excise duty on them on the eve of Diwali, a move seen by many as a ‘Diwali gift’. The government cut excise duty on fuel, reduced the price of petrol by Rs 5 and the price of diesel by Rs 10. The move was followed by several states, which arrived soon after slashing the value-added tax on petrol and diesel, making them even cheaper in the respective regions.
With the Centre’s tax cut, petrol price in the national capital Delhi rose to Rs 103.97 and remained unchanged on Wednesday. At the same time, the price of one liter of diesel here is Rs 86.67 per day. Delhi has not announced VAT deduction.
