The new Hero XPulse 200 4 Valve is priced at ₹ 1,28,150 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is around ₹ 5,000 more expensive than the outgoing two-valve model.

The 2021 Hero XPulse 200 4V offers an improved variant with a new four-valve cylinder head, marginally more power and torque, and better top-end performance.

The outgoing XPulse 200 was known to have a weak headlight throw, and that seems to have been addressed in the four-valve version. The enhanced LED headlight is said to provide better visibility at night.   5. The gear ratio has also been updated for better tractability and acceleration, and the overall transmission has been improved.
  6. The XPulse 200 also comes with a standard aluminum skid plate that protects the engine, and a new toothed brake pedal for better grip, and an upward-facing exhaust for easier handling of water crossings.

Shortcoming

  1. The performance improvement isn’t significant, therefore, don’t expect the new XPulse 200 4 valve to still offer great highway manners.
  2. One of the weaknesses at highway speeds was the ability to easily overtake. The 4 valve unit would have a slight advantage in this regard, but not significant for many-day, long-distance adventures.
