Plans to expand across the country in the near future: Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank chief

Chennai:

Private sector lender Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank Ltd (TMB) has drawn up plans to strengthen itself by opening additional branches across the country in the near future, a top bank official said today.

The over a century old bank recently inaugurated its 510th and 511th branches in Chennai and Salem respectively.

“After getting listed on the Stock Exchanges, Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank Limited is back to enrich our vision in expanding the network across India. The Bank has opened its 510th and 511th new branches in Tamil Nadu. We have many more branches to open. The near future…,” the bank’s Managing Director and CEO S Krishnan said in a statement.

The Tamil Nadu-based bank currently has a presence in 16 states and four union territories and serves over 5 million customers.
