The Ministry of Textiles has today extended the deadline for submission of applications under the PLI (Production Linked Incentive) Scheme for Textiles up to 14.02.2022. Earlier the date for submission of online application under PLI scheme for textiles was till January 31, 2022.
The government had in December approved the PLI scheme for textiles, the outlay of which was approved 10,683 crore for five years to promote the production of products of MMF Apparel, MMF Fabric and Technical Textiles.
The ministry had started accepting online applications for textiles through the portal pli.texmin.gov.in/mainapp/Default from January 1, 2022. Earlier, the application window was supposed to be open from 01-01-2022 to 31-01-2022, but now the deadline has been extended by two more weeks.
The PLI scheme in textiles was approved in the cabinet in September, approving the proposal for a Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for specific segments in the textile sector.
The scheme for specific sectors in the textile sector had received cabinet nod in September.
