The two-day national executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party, which is likely to endorse the extension of the term of the party’s national president JP Nadda and deliberate on its strategy for the assembly and general elections, was held in the national capital with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi reached the venue after a mega roadshow of about one kilometer from Patel Chowk to NDMC headquarters in central Delhi. Excited BJP workers and supporters lined the streets and showered flower petals and raised slogans to greet the PM, while he waved to his supporters during the roadshow from his car.

Huge cutouts of the Prime Minister were placed along the road, besides several posters highlighting various initiatives of the government and India’s chairmanship of the G20. Ahead of the big event, Shri Nadda held a meeting with in-charges and co-in-charges from across the country.

JP Nadda will also inaugurate a grand exhibition on several themes at the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) convention centre.

The National Executive will have 35 Union Ministers, 12 Chief Ministers and 37 regional heads along with the PM.

The theme of the first exhibition is “Sewa, Sangathan, aur Samarpan (Service, Sangathan, and Dedication)”.

The second theme – “Vishwa Guru Bharat” – will highlight India’s contribution to the global fight against COVID and the G20 chairmanship.

The third theme, “Good Governance First”, will showcase the steps taken to ensure good governance.

Other initiatives such as empowering the underprivileged, inclusive and strong India, and the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and preserving age-old symbols such as the rise of Sanatan Dharma across the world, are other themes that will be showcased during the event. meeting.

Political and economic issues will also be discussed and organizational issues in the poll-bound states will be examined.

Mr. Nadda’s three-year term as the national president ends this month. He is likely to lead the party till the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are over.
