PM Dyan Shakti maps data layers related to social sector infrastructure

“The 12 Ministries/Departments that have been onboarded are now in advanced stages of data integration on the NMP platform, including at critical levels such as schools, hospitals and Anganwadi centres, etc,” the ministry said.

PM Gati Shakti aims to address the lack of infrastructure to ensure smooth movement of goods and services. It envisages an integrated and holistic plan across the concerned Ministries/Departments for improving multimodal connectivity and logistic efficiency.

Meanwhile, in the review meeting, Bhaskaracharya National Institute of Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N) discussed issues like decision making and planning tools, connectivity to model schools and disaster management It planned with the advantages of adopting NMP by social sector ministries.

The departments presented the progress in adoption of MinoShakti, the data layers that can be integrated on the NMP platform and the challenges faced by the ministries during the integration process.

The presentations were followed by brainstorming with the participants, interesting and socio-economically useful ideas were generated, for example, mapping with respect to the reach of Anganwadi centres, a new technological innovation to promote engagement with industry, Appraisal of the location for setting up the institute, analysis of the locations of the schools and identification of any connectivity issues etc.
