PM Gati Shakti: 156 critical infra gap projects identified

An official statement on Saturday said that at least 156 critical infrastructure for movement of ports and bulk commodities like coal, cement, fertilizers and food grains have been identified for intervention under the PM Gati Shakti initiative.

The PM Gati Shakti program was introduced by the government on October 13, 2021.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that so far 44 network planning group meetings have been held at the central level, in which 66 major infrastructure projects worth Rs 5 lakh crore have been appraised.

A Network Planning Group (NPG) has been constituted under the initiative.

It added, “156 critical infrastructure for movement of ports and bulk commodities such as coal, cement, fertilizers and food grains have been identified for intervention.”

To facilitate wider adoption of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, a series of regional workshops are being organized in all States/UTs.

The objective of these workshops is to generate greater synergy and synergy among various stakeholders, resulting in mutual learning between States/UTs and Central Ministries/Departments.
