The banned terrorist group People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), a proxy wing of terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed, has claimed responsibility for the Poonch attack. There are reports that it was also the handiwork of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba group.
