Chief Minister Bommai pointed to PM Modi’s tough measures on national security and unity.

Bangalore:

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday said that former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot be compared as they have taken strict action on border issues and matters related to the unity and integrity of the country as compared to the past. Praised for the ruling. ,

He also sought to know whether senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah was a Dravidian or an Arya, to counter the latter’s spectacle against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

Hitting out at the RSS, the Leader of Opposition in the Karnataka Assembly on Friday questioned whether those associated with the outfit were “native Indians”, “Dravidians” or “Aryans”, at the sharp reactions of several ruling BJP leaders.

Speaking at an event to commemorate Nehru’s death anniversary here, Mr Siddaramaiah had said, PM Modi and Nehru cannot be compared, and should not be done.

“Also, he (Modi) has not made any agreement with Pakistan. He has worked for unity and integrity of India, there are many such examples. Modi made India strong, so no comparison,” he told reporters here. Can’t be.”

Responding to a question on the Congress Legislature Party leader’s remarks against the RSS, the chief minister said, “I just want to ask where Siddaramaiah has come from, whether he is a Dravidian or an Aryan. Let him first tell.”
