Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday delivered the ‘State of the World’ special address at the Davos agenda of the World Economic Forum (WEF). During the address, he praised India fiercely and said that it has given a ‘bouquet of hope’ as a gift.

PM Modi said, “India is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its independence and is also administering 156 crore doses of vaccine in the country. India has given a bouquet of hope to the world.”

“In this bouquet, we Indians have unwavering faith in our democracy, we have the technology to empower the 21st century with the flair and talent of Indians,” he said.

The Prime Minister also emphasized that India is today the third largest pharma producer in the world. He said, “In the times of Kovid, we have seen how India is saving crores of lives by providing essential medicines and vaccines to many countries following the vision of ‘One Earth, One Health’.”

PM Modi also emphasized that India has the world’s largest, secure and successful digital payments platform. “In the last month alone, there have been 4.4 billion transactions through Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in India,” he said.

Several heads of state, including Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Chinese President Xi Jinping and EU Commission chief Ursua von der Leyen, will begin events today (January). will address. 17) and will run till January 21.
