PM Modi and other G20 leaders visit the iconic Trevi Fountain in Rome

It is believed that if you throw a coin over your shoulder into the water of the fountain, you will surely return to Rome.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with other world leaders visited the famous Trevi Fountain here on the sidelines of the G20 summit on Sunday.

The fountain is one of the most visited monuments in France and is loved by tourists. The historic fountain has attracted many filmmakers who have popularized the Baroque art-style monument as a symbol of a place of romance.

At 26.3 meters high and 49.15 meters wide, it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world.

According to a video released by G20 Italy, the delegation also threw a coin over their shoulder into the fountain.

It is believed that if you throw a coin over your shoulder in the water of the fountain, you will surely return to Rome.

After visiting the famous fountain, Mr. Modi will attend a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez. He will also participate in a session on Sustainable Development and an event on ‘Supply Chain Resilience’.

The Prime Minister is attending the G20 Summit in Rome from 30 to 31 October at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi.

Italy has been presiding over the G20 since December last year.
