Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Monday conferred with Fiji’s highest honor by Fiji’s Premier Sitwini Rabuka in recognition of his global leadership, in a rare honor for a non-Fijian.

Modi arrived in Papua New Guinea on Sunday on his first visit to the country to host a crucial summit between India and 14 Pacific island nations to boost bilateral ties.
