PM Modi in Mumbai: Traffic affected in some parts of the city, see advisory here

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday flag off the Vande Bharat Express from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and inaugurate the new campus of Aljamia-tus-Saifiyah Arabic Academy in Marol, Mumbai. The Mumbai Traffic Police has issued an advisory for road closure and suggested alternate routes for commuters.

In a statement, the traffic police said that due to a planned public function on February 10, 2023, movement of traffic around Colaba, SP Mukherjee Chowk and PD Mello Road from 2 pm to 4 pm and through elevated road from Domestic Airport to Marol From 4 pm to 6 pm the traffic will be a little slow.

In his detailed note, the mumbai traffic police Said that due to the public program organized in Aljamia-tas-Saifiya, Marol campus. The traffic management has been modified for the period from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM on February 10, 2023.

It added that normal traffic will be affected on the entire Marol Church Road (and side roads of Marol Church Road), Airport Road Metro Station, Andheri-Ghatkopar Kurla Road and Vileparle (East) elevated Airport Road.

It suggested the following alternative routes:

1) For Andheri-Ghatkopar Kurla Road, commuters from Sakinaka Junction via Andheri Kurla Road will have to go directly to Milind Nagar, L&T via Sakivihar Road. Taking a left turn on Western Express Highway via Gate No. 8 JVLR.

2) Traffic going from Bohra Colony to Andheri Kurla Road via Marol Church will be diverted from Kadam Wadi to Andheri-Kurla Road via Marol Pipeline.

3) Traffic going from Bohra Colony towards Marol Maroshi Road via Marol Church Road will take left turn at Star Poultry Farm Marol Church Road and straight through Marol Village Road towards Marol Maroshi Road near Savla General Store. Will take turn
