PM Modi to release Rs 20,000 crore to over 10 crore beneficiaries under PM-Kisan on January 1
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 10th installment of financial benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) on January 1, 2022, transferring over Rs 20,000 crore to around 10 crore beneficiary farmer families.
Under the PM-Kisan scheme, a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year is provided to eligible beneficiary farmer families, payable in three equal 4-monthly installments of Rs 2000 each. Funds are directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
So far, more than Rs 1.6 lakh crore Samman amount has been transferred to farmer families.
During the programme, the Prime Minister will also release equity grants of over Rs 14 crore to around 351 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), benefiting over 1.24 lakh farmers.
During the program, the Prime Minister will interact with the FPOs and will also address the nation. Union Agriculture Minister will also be present on this occasion.
