The pedestrian-only ‘Atal Bridge’ is a foot-over bridge over the Sabarmati River, built between Ellis Bridge and Sardar Bridge.

This iconic bridge with an attractive design and LED lighting is about 300 meters long and 14 meters wide in the middle.

This bridge is made from 2,600 metric tons of steel pipe.

The roof of the bridge is made of colored cloth and the railing is made of glass and stainless steel.

The food-over bridge connects the flower garden at the western end of the river and the visiting arts and culture center at the eastern end.

Apart from pedestrians, cyclists can also use this bridge to cross the river while avoiding traffic.

This will allow people to see the riverfront from the middle of the reservoir.

The bridge has been designed in such a way that people can approach it from both the lower and upper reaches or from the resorts of the riverfront.
