Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 11th Khel Mahakumbh in Ahmedabad and will also deliver a speech on the occasion.
Earlier, PM Modi did a road show from Raj Bhavan to Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. During the roadshow, a crowd of people gathered to greet the Prime Minister. He welcomed them with flower petals.
PM Modi was also seen shaking hands of people during his roadshow which attracted huge crowd. This was PM’s second roadshow in Gujarat in a span of two days.
Started in Gujarat in 2010 under the visionary leadership of the then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi with 16 sports and 13 lakh participants, Khel Mahakumbh today comprises 36 general sports and 26 para-sports. More than 45 lakh players have registered for the 11th Khel Mahakumbh.
Earlier, PM Modi addressed the first convocation of National Defense University as the chief guest.
After the party’s massive victory in four states, the PM held a grand roadshow in Gandhinagar on Friday. Gujarat is the next state to go to polls at the end of the year, and the prime minister has effectively launched the party’s election campaign from Ahmedabad.
