The Home Ministry on Wednesday alleged a “big lapse in the security of PM Narendra Modi”, who was in Punjab to attend some programmes. It alleged that the Punjab government failed to deploy additional security to secure any movement by road.
PM Modi’s convoy got stuck on the flyover on Wednesday after the road was blocked in protest against the farmers. As PM Modi’s car remained stuck on the flyover, SPG personnel swung into action and surrounded his car to prevent any untoward incident.
PM Modi was supposed to address a rally in Ferozepur on Wednesday, but the program had to be cancelled.
