PM to visit Belagavi on February 27 for roadshow, public meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Belagavi on 27 February. they are expected to come Arrived from Shivamogga To spend about two hours in Belagavi participating in a roadshow before addressing a public meeting.

He will inaugurate the redeveloped railway station and other projects. He will symbolically distribute the next installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Krishi Protsahan to some farmers. He will launch multi-village schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission to be implemented at a cost of about Rs 1,200 crore.

Officials say the roadshow is likely to be 10 km long and will take around 60 minutes. The route map will be finalized after discussions with the Special Protection Group in charge of the PM’s security.

Two routes covering monuments like Kittur Channamma Circle, Dharmaveer Sambhaji Circle, Shivaji Garden have been presented for observation of SPGs. Barricading will be done on both sides of the route.

A public rally will be hosted at an open ground in Malini City on BS Yediyurappa Road, near the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway. An official said the PM is expected to reach Belagavi by a special aircraft from Shivamogga around 1 pm. The roadshow and rally is expected to be completed before 3 pm.

Preparations for the tour are going on in full swing. The stage is being built in Malini City. Roads are being diverted. A team of SPG officers had reached Belagavi three days back. He met the local police and other officials.

Union Minister of State for Agriculture Shobha Karandlaje visited the venue of the public meeting on 23 February and discussed the arrangements with revenue and police officials. He reviewed the construction of the stage, distribution of food and water and arrangements for parking.

MLA Abhay Patil said that more than one lakh people are expected to participate in the rally. A team of around 30 folk artists will be performing various art forms from different states of India.

Union minister Shobha Karandlaje directed officials to invite beneficiaries of various central schemes, including women, to the rally. The Union Minister was accompanied by Regional Commissioner MG Hiremath, Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil and Belagavi Police Commissioner MB Borlingaiah.
