According to officials, this service will be introduced as a pilot project in 10 districts- Lucknow, Kanpur, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Agra, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Ayodhya.
“Since telcos are reluctant to provide wireless computer networks in rural and remote areas as they have to pay huge license fees for bandwidth, it was proposed that government-authorized ration shops or those individuals who have access to Wi-Fi -Fi equipment should be provided to those who are interested in it. running such service.
