Manufacturer of electric buses, PMI announced that it will set up its largest electric commercial vehicle manufacturing plant in Pune by 2023, in partnership with global commercial mobility giant, Foton. The 35-acre facility will come up at MIDC, Chakan and will employ 1,500 employees. The facility will be operational by August 2023, with a capacity to produce 2,500 electric CVs per year, with commercial production commencing by October 2023. This facility will enable electric CVs in multiple variants and electric trucks.
