Hanuman ji is being mentioned in every other press conference and rally from Delhi to Mumbai.

At a public rally organized by former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, all entrants received a pocket-sized version of the holy Hanuman Chalisa along with refreshments.

The rally was organized at Nesco Maidan, a suburb of Goregaon. While the venue reverberated with devotional songs and chants of Jai Shri Ram, what stood out was a green packet given to all the entrants.

Outside the main hall, the BJP put up various posters and banners not only praising the work of the Modi government but also on the state government. A poster in Marathi aimed at Shiv Sena (translation) “Those who were scared when asked to remove loudspeakers from mosques are now saying they demolished Babri (mosque))

Earlier, BJP leaders made sharp remarks on Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. Senior BJP leader Kirit Somaiya claimed that the Shiv Sena leader had “abandoned saffron and adopted green” and was silent on the loudspeaker issue as he had to appease Muslims.

Another senior BJP leader Raosahib Danve Patil said that Uddhav Thackeray’s personal attack on Fadnavis’s weight was only a distraction. “The weight of a political leader is measured by the number of MLAs he has and by that count, Devendra Fadnavis is actually very politically heavy.” Danve Patil said.
