Poet-diplomat Abhay K’s poems get a dramatic touch in Chennai

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], Feb 4 (ANI): The magic of poetry goes higher with the amalgamation of another art form. Poet-diplomat Abhay K’s poetic work recently bore witness to the same.

Prakriti Foundation recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of ‘Theatre Poetry Reading’ at Teynampet, Chennai in association with Abhay K, fashion brand Raw Mango and Theater Nisha.

During this event, a selection of poems from Abhay K’s latest three poetry books was done. – Letters from Latin America, stray poems and monsoon were performed by renowned theater artists – V Balakrishnan, founder of Theater Nisha, Meera Sitharaman and Shakthi Ramani, with soul-stirring music by Vikram on flute and Kiran Kashyap on violin.

Abhay K felt “surreal” seeing his poems receiving a dramatic touch by the artistes with soulful music. He thanked Prakriti Foundation and the artists for bringing alive his poems and giving them a new dimension.

Speaking on the occasion, Ranveer Shah, Founder, Prakriti said, “Abhay K is a prolific poet and his works have made an impact globally, especially his Artha Anthem, which has been translated into over 150 languages “

Meanwhile, Abhay K was recently elected as a Corresponding Member of the Brazilian Academy of Literature. (ANI)
