Niantic announces Pokémon Go’s Community Day for March 18, 2023, event bonuses including slowpokes and Gallarian slowpokes, XP boosts, candy rewards, and more.

Niantic has announced that the much-awaited Community Day of Pokémon Go is going to take place on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST, and is going to be a great time for Pokémon Go players across India. promises.

Catching Slowpoke and Galerian Slowpoke-Dopey Pokémon will be the main attraction for players during the event, and along the way, players can also expect to encounter a few other Pokémon during the event.

Niantic noted that the Virtual Trainer Meetups will be held in twelve cities across India—including New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Kanpur, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Visakhapatnam.

Each meeting will take place at a convenient location in different cities, such as Lodhi Garden in New Delhi, Horniman Circle Garden in Mumbai, Saras Bagh in Pune, Edward VII statue at Cubbon Park in Bengaluru, Lions Safari Park at Ravindra Sarobar Lake in Kolkata, Lions Safari Park in Chennai Tower Park in Anna Nagar, Indira Park in Hyderabad, Lohia Park in Lucknow, Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Napier Museum in Thiruvananthapuram and All Ability Children Park in Visakhapatnam.

Pokémon Go Community Day Event Bonuses:

  • Catching a Pokémon will grant 3 times the normal amount of XP.
  • Each Pokémon caught will receive double the amount of candy.
  • Trainers level 31 and above will have a double chance of getting Candy XL when they catch a Pokémon.
  • Lure modules used during the event will remain active for three hours.
  • Incense used during the event (excluding daily adventure incense) will last for three hours.
  • Expect a surprise when you take a snapshot during Community Day.
  • Instructors can place one additional special trade, a maximum of two trades are allowed for the day.
  • Only half the amount of Stardust will be required for trades made during the event.

There’s also a ‘brain-teasing’ evolution requirement for Galarian Slowbro, and bonus raid battles for Slowpoke and Galarian Slowpoke after the event. Completing these raid battles can cause additional Slowpoke and Galerian Slowpoke to appear around the gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes – as well as potential glows.
